Since 1921, Rukert Terminals Corporation has been a family-owned and operated company specializing in the handling of metals, ores, fertilizers, alloys, and other dry bulk, break-bulk and project cargo.
The Port of Baltimore is located on the Northwest branch of the Patapsco River, a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. Baltimore gains great advantage over other East Coast ports with a geographic location that is closest to the United States Midwest.
Upon discharge from a vessel, cargo can be warehoused in 1 million+ sq. ft. of secure storage or transition via truck, or rail or to its final destination.
Stevedoring at Rukert means expert transition of your commodity from ship to shore. Our soon to be 100th year of experience means your cargo is professionally discharged from a vessel, saving time and money.
Rukert Terminals was founded in 1921 by Cap Rukert with a loan of $800 from Drovers and Mechanics Bank. Through a series of acquisitions over 53 years, Cap continued to grow the business and lay a foundation for continued success.
Today, in our 99th year of business, Rukert Terminals is guided by Norman G Rukert Jr., the grandson of Cap Rukert, as well as other members of our extended family.
The management team today, as in the past, is made up of people who have the versatility and willingness to tackle any challenge.
